Does everyone use regular filtered tap water or distilled water to dilute the Kristall Klar Washer Fluid? Thanks
I have some already made with distilled water. I'll be using it for the first time in my wife's Acura when i detail it within the next two weeks. I've heard nothing but good things about Kristall Klar, but all of my 1z products are top notch.:afro:
i just use tap water. i have mixed the anti-frost winter fluid with distilled, but i see no difference really. both work really well for clearing gunk and dirt.
its said to use regular tap cuz i think it says that if you use distilled, it will make the sensors go haywire
Hijack Just got some with my last order. The directions say 1:100; would that be one of the filler tops per gallon? If not, how much?
Yep, that's right. Regarding distilled or tap water? It was actually formulated to work best with tap water. There are water conditioners in Kristall Klar so it'll soften most hard water. Now if you have well water or extremely hard water, probably best to go with distilled water.
Is it advisable to use KK w/ otc washer fluid, I was thinking it may be good to boost the cheaper otc stuff that can withstand lower temps. I know its still summer but w/ school starting up I can only think of my commutes in the crappy road spray and mess to Boston. So has any body tried it? I know about Antifrost, but KK dilutions are a better value. So to clarify I was thinking about diluting KK w/ otc washer fluid instead of water.
I believe it writes you can add it to antifreeze windshield fluids too. .... ... checked the bottle again, and it says that it strengthens the cleaning power of the regular antifreeze stuff.
I too would be interested to know if it can be added to other washer fluids. I like the rainex washer fluid, and it would be awesome if that could be enhanced.
Kristall Klar and Anti-Frost are compatible with any washer fluid on the market. You'll want to play around with the dilution ratios because KK is not a booster, it's a full on washer fluid. So if you mix the standard amount with the OTC product, it might come out too soapy. I would start with less than suggested amount of KK and work your way up if you find that the cleaning ability is not effective enough. Hope this helps!
