So I got my Karcher about a week ago and I was so impressed by how much having a pressure washer helps. However, it just exploded (literally) today. For anyone thinking about buying a pressure washer, please take my word and buy a high quality unit that will last you years.

I am getting this one probably, I'll post a review on it.

If I was to buy a Karcher, I'd get the Wal*Mart or Home Depot warranty. Just get a new one every time it explodes!

I've had my electric Karcher for 18 months now and done probably 150 washes with it and it has never given me a minute of trouble. Sorry to hear about yours.

I agree it seems to be hit and miss with the Karcher units, sorry to hear about your unit...can you take it back? Refund? Or possible an exchange?

I'm gonna try to get a refund. I bought it from Walmart online.

By the way that machine your interested in looks really good, I'm just getting my feet wet with pressure washers and I picked up a gas one from Chris (eShine) I'm really looking forward on putting it to good use. The reason I went with gas is because I want to use it around the house as well, you know give the house a really good wash as soon as the temperature gets better, it's quite dirty...I'll first put the pressure washer to the test on the rust bucket Jeep...that way if I do accidently use too much pressure it's only the beater lol.

Dang, thats terrible after only a week of use! Did you make sure to release the pressure inside by just squeezing the trigger after the water and power has been turned off the unit? Its always a good idea to do so as far as im concerned

Not saying you didn't, but releasing the pressure is a good thing. For me $800 is too much to pay for a pressure washer. I just got a new Karcher and so far it's been fine. Hopefully there's a hell of a warranty on the cam spray...boy would you be pissed if something happened to it!

I didn't know about the releasing the pressure thing, thanks for telling me. I think the cam spray is really expensive but hopefully it will last a very long time, like it is supposed to.

BTW does anyone know if that foam lance from cleanyourcar.co.uk (am I allowed to say that?) will work with the cam spray? Cuz now mine's useless.
