I was at a car meet and overheard a couple of detailer’s talking about a problem they had with their vehicle. One of them said, “I asked a guy on a detailing forum and he provided a fix that really worked well” Do you ever wonder what the outcome was on a vehicle that the owner asked for help on a problem, did they take your advice, what was the result or did they try something else that was easier or better? Always good to have feed-back to know wither a solution worked or not and how it looked when finished
Sometimes I do give advise especially at car meets, unfortunately a month or so passes before we meet again, so most of the time I dont get feedback on the advise given.
On another forum a guy had black overspray all over a white car. My recommendation: Presoak the car in Zep Citrus Degreaser at 5:1 Clay with CM Blue, work slowly, refold the bar often. Follow up with a chemical cleaner like DG 501. Total cost ~$50 in product and maybe 6-8 hours of time, TOPS... Other guys recommendation: Use 00 Steel Wool Follow with Glaze Guess which advice he took? I'll give a hint, he complained that the finish now had lost all its shine and had a matte look...
I have alot of oversparay - Crownvic.net M response in the thread was non detailer dumbed down... but you get the idea.
