I'm getting a new 32GB iphone in the next few days. I have not a new phone in years. What suggestions do you guys have as far as apps go and what not? Also, I can either choose a 500mb or 1GB monthly plan. The 500 is $25 extra and the gig is $35 extra...is it likely that I would exceed 500 mb?
Hey Richy, I'd recommend these: CNN Google AccuWeather WebMD Ebay Pandora- play's music according to your genre of music you like Slacker Radio
NOO, bad move Richy! iPhone 4 is legit in about a couple weeks time! And 6gb of data for $30 is coming back.
are you sure? I'm not a iphone user nor will i be anytime soon but i know at&t just did away with the unlimited data transfer so why all of a sudden would they bring that back. I have buddies that have the iphone and say that they don't even come close to 500mb's and they do a lot of video stuff and heavy content sites. Maybe do the 1gb and see what your monthly usage is after the first month and then decide from there.
there should be an app to prevent me from downloading apps while I.m on the can. Every time i take a crap it costs me at least four bucks.
The best browser out there and it's FREE!!! Opera Opera LINK EDIT: Oh don't forget to download a free copy of Skype - for making free calls over WI-Fi!
Richy, are you getting the new iphone 4G? As for data, the iphone sucks up data like a vortex so you could be going through that 500mb quicker than you think. The best thing I would recommend is get the 500mb and see how it goes. Enable your wifi so that whenever you are in a WiFi zone the iPhone uses that instead of the data. That could save you a lot of data. I just spoke to my friend who works at Rogers and if you just hang in there for 1 more month prices of cell phones and data packages are going to come down or have promotions very soon. Also, how long have you been a Rogers customer and what other services do you have with Rogers? (with this information I can tell you what your bargaining power is). Waseem
as for the apps....you can always Jailbreak the iPhone and have unlimited apps for free. my friend is a geek when it comes to phones and he Jailbroke his iPhone and now has access to over 50 000 apps for free. He had an app for everything and was using his iTouch as an iPhone.
OH MY GOD! You didn't just use the word free when talking with Richy, did you? Now you'll never get rid of him! LOL 50,000 apps for free, eh? Now we'll never hear from Richy again.
just be careful with jailbreaking and using repo's that have cracked ipa apps. a lot of developers are now using udid to track those people that pay and those that dont. edit: yes i am also a iphone geek and have modded my iphone extensively.
Yeeup, me too. There are ways to get around it, but I rather not say as downloading the app itself is illegal. Just sayin' GOOGLE IT.
Hahahaha...you are well aware of my parsimonious nature my friend!! The ones Heath suggested sound good. I don't want too much crap on there I'll never use. I don't want to screw with the phone....aren't the apps only like $1 each? Aren't a lot of them free too? Thanks very much for your suggestions.
