Hi guys just need some advice before I step my game up. I want to try a higher end wax price range under 200. It's for my black metallic m3. What's do you guys think I should get? The 2 waxes I have so far are pete's and HD.

    Thanks

I think you should make sure your paint is polished to perfection first.

im a huge carnuaba wax fan. and if you can comeup with alittle extra. go with as tub of swissvax concorso. the durability/gloss. and application. is incredible. but like dan says prep is the key. once you have your paint swirl free and smooth .l thats when a nice wax comes in ....

I am with thrland. I've tried quite a few waxes, and always end up reaching for the Swissvax. It's a lovely product, and it's a pure joy to use.

Buy the best Swissvax you can for $200 and you'll be pleased.

souversn is nice too. but theres no durabilty. 2 weeks. for me . but if you have the time. to rewax alot souveran is fine. i useally use souveran as a show car glaze wax.

Yes, Souveran is nice, especially when you can get a BOGOF at half price. I wouldn't buy it otherwise, but it's lovely to use. But disappointing beading and durability make it not one of my favorites. Smells great though.

I have to agree, the SV Concorso is my favorite wax. It is a shame they keep raising the price on it but it is an awesome wax.

i know . luckly i have a few different waxes so swissvax is lasting me a while. i might give my truck a coat tomorrow.i need to getmy mind on something other then the situation.
so a nice bath and wax will get my mind cleared up from the stress maybe ....

Swissvax is extremely easy to apply, and remove. Smells great too. The one and ONLY complain I have with the product is the sheeting isn't where I'd like it to be for a carnauba. I have Zymol Concours as well and its as easy to apply, harder to remove, but the sheeting is unreal. Both are great waxes but if ease of use is what you are after, I'd say SV.

    Zymol Glasur :D

But truth be told, the key is in the prep. If the paint is prepped good, then a $20 wax like Collinite 845 will look good. Plus 845 has great durability.

Plus most people can't tell the difference in looks between a $20 wax and a $200 wax.

Don't forget that the pots are absolutely SHIT, horrible. I've sent Swissvax over three emails now, and not a single one returned. Absurd.

agreed, my pot of CR the inner tub seperated from the outer shell. now when i try to open my pot the inside tub spins with the cap, and i can't get it open without pulling the tub out of the shell.

the fact i don't use it often, makes it tolerable.

SV shield is awesome, because its the only one that i've used that sheets well.

I just sent them another email, and am calling them next week until they fix the problem.

Probably not the answer you were looking for, but prep is more important.

    Agreed....

I am not trying to be rude but have you thought of having your paint properly polished? If you found a good detailer in your area you will/should have some what of a choice of what goes on your car. Then when it's time to re-protect, buy any wax and it will look fantastic if your properly washed it.

Don't forget Swissvax Blau Weiss. It's made for BMW paint, and at $159 within your budget. My brother has a pot and uses it on his M3, really likes it.
