I've done a couple of SUV's for this client that have been previously posted here. He mentioned that he just picked up a new toy and wanted to see about a couple of things and improving the overall appearance. I was excited to learn what he had just recently acquired but was disappointed that a somewhat high profile dealership in the Los Angeles area would sell a car to him in this condition. I was fortunate enough to be able to go for a spin before getting started. Launch control in these cars is no joke! Here we go... Foam wash Clay bar Dried Masked Rupes LHR15MKII Rupes Green Foam Pads Menzerna HC400 Menzerna SF24000 Menzerna Powerlock Upon arrival: The suds shot: Lighting inspection: The rear end looks as though it's definitely had some work done at some point (more on that later)...It was in very rough shape: Let's get the 50/50's started! Love how the flake is coming out from hiding! Rear quarter before: Rear quarter after first step: Yikes! Here's the rear bumper area I was mentioning before... Definite improvement! And this... Tried a new product called Rim Job (lol). Will be checking in with the owner to see if it helps alleviate the constant brake dust sticking to the beautiful center lock wheels... Wheels on point! Sealant on! Wiped off and final inspection! Unfortunately it was overcast: Tucked away inside until the owner comes to get it... Thanks for looking! Really enjoyed this one.
That thing is on point. Well done. Any reason why you did power lock over something like a ceramic coating?
I hadn't yet started offering coatings. I just started using Gtechniq CSL as my first coating to try so we shall see how it goes!
