Did my window cleaning first and then went abouts to clay it. Went abouts to use G4 to further clean the glass. It is a glass polish on crack. Buff on, it solidifys-ish then you gotta use a damp cloth to wipe it. Provides quite the deep cleaning. The G1 kicks in, need to be well ventilated cuz it has heavy chemical smells Practically wipe on, no need for crosshatching/etc Then after 2 coatings, I proceeded to use G2 to wipe on then buff off residue. The first time I did it, I utterly failed at doing it effeciently, you need to work in small sections with G2 AND a cloth at the same time Proceeded to do my front windshield as well. All done with stickerzzz Water sheeting/beading action front and back: YouTube - IMG 0562 YouTube - IMG 0563
You'll love it, have had it for about a year prob and still works great and would never be without it again. Have it on my parents car also now. Good stuff! Also makes ice easier to get off the glass. G4 glass polish is also the shizz for side windows that dont have the sealant.
I still gotta apply it to my mazda. I also gonna use some G3 on the side windows. my video is proof of awesomeness
Holy crap, that is some expensive stuff. Looking forward to an update on this stuff. I'm interested to see how it holds up to the windshield wipers.
get it direct from g|tech if you only want the 15mL bottle as it is pretty cheap, $20 i think...shipped fedex...i get my stuff from rob in 2 days.
MUCh MUCH better....last 1.5-2 yrs and forms an actual bond to the class compared to a weak bond as rainx created. It is also enable water to shed off at much lower speeds, with g1 around 45 mph on a semi clean window. Also helps clean glass easier and as I said if you life in snow/ice areas help with cleaning during the winter time. Most of all, the low cost vs. little to no maintenance and longevity makes it a must. I have a 8 month review posed on here somewhere with a video. If i get a chance i will do a 1yr ( i think it has been?) review soon.
g3 is the "urban" coating that is similar to rainx (does not form a permanent bond) but sheets water at a much lower speed and better for around town driving, Durability is few months, still good, but I have found g1 to be great both around town and highway driving. g2 can be but substatued with IPA if needed (similar)
I rather use IPA then $20 G2, unless there a notable difference. I'll get the combo after my credit card debt is erased from my first giant purchase
mmm then maybe my mazda needs G3 more cuz my mother drives it and it never crosses the bridge into Vancouver LOL Will g2 actually affect a fully cured G1 if i end up having some missing spots?
