Guys recently I got into an accident with a truck (i went under it) and my hood was thrashed. The repair facility claimed the hood a complete loss and so they got me a new one, and, from what they said, was freshly painted. I asked them (multiple times) not to touch it once they put it on but they somehow managed to STILL "wax" it with a rotary and now my hood is all marred. Is it safe to polish the hood even though the paint is "fresh"?

It would be 2 stages, one pass Menz SIP on LC Orange pad on a PC and one pass Menz P0106ffa on a LC White pad.

    Thanks in advance,

    Tony

Yes it is assuming proper prep, bear in mind some fresh paint polishes easier and micromarrs easier than most OEM paints especially if the car was not boothed. A highly variable situation but otherwise, yes you can polish fresh paint.
