First wax you ever used?

Not sure if this has ever been posted but thought I would give it a go to have everyone share

What was the first wax you ever used? This probably goes back to the start of all of our detailing careers.

Mine was Meg's Gold Class because it came in a kit I got at AutoZone.

That was like 15 years ago. Then I went to Meg's gold class.

 

Hmm, to as far back as I can remember I would say Megs #26.

 

KIT was the first wax I ever used. Dont know if they even still make it anymore. Havent seen it in years.

 

P21S 100%.... I bought it 2 years ago. Still have about 40% of the tub left.

What can I say im not a wax guy

 

Turtle Wax cleaner wax. Hah.

 

Can be a sealant as well I know people have their preferences

i beat you all nu finish, my dad bought about 22 years ago I believe, should still have the same shine on the car opcorn:today if you believe the bottle.

turtle wax paste... and i laid it on THICK. if a little is good, a lot must be great, right? lol

my arm was numb by the time i was done removing it.

 

+1 ...and nothing beats removing it with a cotton bath towel!! Long live the 80's!!!

Megs cleaner wax, lasted years....so did the applicator it came with, mold and all. lol

 

Some megs otc wax... comes in a 3 part system, cleaner, polish, wax.... stuff was junk...

I feel bad about all the cars that I waxed when I was a teenager ... no microfiber, no clay, waxing in the sun .... everything that we are not supposed to do, I did it.

I'm thankful that I'm learning the proper ways of maintaining a vehicle in this forum.
