    Extreme Detail on a 2007 2500 Chevy 4 Door

I usually don’t post vehicles on forums mostly because my pictures never really capture the vehicle (I have NO photography skills). I have also quit taking before pictures due to customer privacy. It’s a small town thing. I decided that I would post these limited pictures since everyone has already gotten a sneak peek in another thread and Nica is waiting on them. Sorry, no outside views, weather is still overcast and drizzling here.

Just a little about this vehicle…it belongs to a farmer and it is his work/field truck. 18,000 miles so it doesn’t sit too long.

Exterior: The battle scars you would expect plus a lot of chipping.

Interior: Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was covered in a thick layer of dirt. The pedals were covered with a layer of mud. You can use your imagination on the condition of the carpet and floor mats.

    Process:

The exterior and jambs were washed with a 50/50 mix of Boyd Codington shampoo (could be a CG soap re-packaged?) and Hi-Temp De-Bugger. This is my go to for getting something really clean. I used Purple Power APC on tires and fender wells and HT wheel cleaner on the wheels. Tires were dressed with HT Grape Tire Dressing. The entire vehicle was clayed using clay from Top of the Line. NO dressing was used in the wells on purpose, just exposing them was sufficient. 

The paint was polished with HT Medium Cut using a LC white pad and the pc. Cleaned the residue up with HT Prep Wash and then applied Poorboys Polish w Sealant with a clean LC white pad and the pc set at 3.5. The paint finish isn’t flawless but it is a work truck.

Interior began with removing and bagging up personal stuff. Then the carpet got a thorough brush and vacuum. Seats were cleaned with HT Leather Cleaner and a very soft palm brush paying very close attention to the seams and stitching. Seats were treated with 2 coats of HT Leather Dressing. Dash and trim were cleaned with P&S Sales Interior Cleaner and dressed with Poorboys Natural Look. The pictures make the interior look wet and greasy but it is actually more of a matt / factory new finish. The carpet received multiple passes with the extractor after a thorough shampoo with HT Power Scrub Carpet Shampoo. All glass cleaned with Invisible Glass.

Man this thing was huge! I spent the better part of 2 days on this truck. Please remember that I don’t do this for a living so I have the luxury of taking my time and working at a slower pace. I look forward to your comments and questions.

Nica - Feel free to work your magic on the pictures. I thought that I had made them bigger but it still looks like you have to click on each pic to enlarge it from the thumbnail view. Sorry...
