Wow, that hood was jacked worse than I've seen in a long time. Fantastic job Phil, the car looks amazing!

 

The paint is nice and deep now. Spotless.

Sorry if this is a silly question, did you use m105 and D300 on the whole car or just the hood?

yes we did use the M105 followed by D300 finishing it out with SF4000.

 

Probably as 3 months. However this is a garage queen so I'm going to say longer due to the situation.

 

yup I believe that surbuf can cut more than the MF Cutting Pads

 

The car looks great ,I see you used Adams,and last step with wolfes?

Great job Phil! Too bad that aftermarket hood wasn't prepped better before painting as red—like black—shows every flaw. The original 370Z hood is aluminum and much straighter than this one.

 

You seem to be gravitating your final polishing step towards SF4000 instead of PO85RD lately, what is your reasoning?
