Detailer's Domain: 2006 STI - Clean Up

    What was done -
    Exterior

    - Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
    - Tires were spritzed down with Adam’s All Purpose Cleaner and washed down
    - Wheel wells were cleaned up
    - Pre Washed with Car Pro Iron X
    - Wash down and rinsed
    - Door jambs were cleaned up
    - Clayed
    - Dried
    - Tires dressed
    - Masking
    - 1 Step - Menzerna Power Finish
    - Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight
    - Last Step – Einszett Glanz
    - Rubber and Plastics Treated
    - Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
    - Exhaust tips cleaned
    - Windows were clayed, cleaned, and sealed
    - Jambs steam cleaned

    Interior
    - Alcantara cleaned
    -Dash and plastics steamed and dressed
    -Carpets Vacuumed and Steamed

    We removed the salt and grime from the tires and wheel wells with Adam's APC and the Uber Wheel Well Brush

    Tires, wheel wells, wheels all rinsed down

    Pre washed with Iron X to remove all the iron deposits

    Rinsing the Iron X off

    Washed the STI with einszett W99

    Final rinse

    Next we clayed the car. Not much after the Iron X and W99

    Tires and Wheel Wells dressed

    Door jambs cleaned up

    The imperfections were much like this all over the car.

    Paint Measurement (higher than usually numbers)

    Porter Cable used on this job

    After polishing shots

    Roof spoiler and all the plastic trim around the STI were polished

    Glass cleaned and sealed (Adam's Glass Cleaner/Adam's Glass Sealant/Uber Glass MF)

    Pre Wow was used on the cowl
    Before - Dried and faded

    Exhaust tip was cleaned up with Optimum Metal Polish

    Einszett Glanz is great. It lasts months just like a sealant. I use it before applying any nuba :thumb:

    looks awesome phil. im wondering if you or anyone has tried using ironx in a foam cannon yet and how effective that may be.

    Outstanding Job as always Phil It looks like I see you are using the new Adam's Fire Hose Nozzle and Valve ? Can't wait to put mine to use. That Glanz really pops.

    I would say minimum of 2-3 months durability on a daily driven car.

    I've been using Glanz on a ton of metallic color cars lately and customers are loving it.

    yeah i kinda figured. what about the ironx soap? maybe that would be good in a foam cannon...

    thanks! the new fire hose nozzle and valve are of the best quality that I have ever seen.

    glanz is one of the best products for metallic paints!
