At first glance, you would think this car had immaculate paint. The mirror image from the $15k paint job that had been wet sanded to perfection was just jaw dropping. Bradley with RMD landed this client through two other details he had done on the previous week. Eric from A2D came down to Savannah/Richmond Hill area to visit and enjoy the weather while kicking back and detailing a few vehicles with Bradley. After a quick check with brinkman the paint clearly showed signs of heavy marring from the cover and light spider swirling from regular washing. Upon inspection the clouds rolled in and the light drizzle had set in on top of us. We opted to go ahead and ONR the whole vehicle and re-check the entire vehicle and make note of areas with the most damage. After a few quick passes with different polishes we finally made the decision to SIP with orange/green CCS and finish out with 3M Utrafina SE with a blue CCS. After completing the entire vehicle the choice was up in the air on how to finish out and protect this awesome combo. Out came the CG WMF and cyclo with white polishing pads. After we removed the entire residue, DP’s maxwax was applied via cyclo and removed by microfiber. The tires were dressed with MEG’s Hyper Dressing via microfiber cloth, the glass was cleaned with Surf City, and the leather/vinyl was treated with AIM LV treatment. Enjoy the pics!!
:sheep: Sweet vehicle :druling: :druling: man such a gorgeous vehicle :worship: and the pictures of the imperfections are wicked :headbang: The pictures look incredable, someone has some skills eace: Thank you for sharing the pictures and write up by the way I like the apron, is that the microfiber appron?
Simply beautiful.... IMHO, nothing more beautiful than classic American Chevrolet Musscle in black. Camaro, Chevelle, Malibu, Nova... Seconded by Ford and Mopar Muscle... Yes, I'm a '68 Camaro owner.
Very nice job on the Chevelle! Even the most expensive paint jobs can get ruined if not cared for properly. Great recovery! I like the documentation of your work. Fantastic photos. Thanks for sharing with us. :mounty: DLR
I love your post. Great vehicle to work on that is for sure. Of course being a black paint job made it all the better for me to view. Normally I get fixated on the wheels but this specimen far out shadows any wheel shot. Wish I had a paint finish like that vehicle on my black truck. Thanks for taking the time to post!!
That is some awesome work there Bradley and Eric! Man cars like that remind me of a time when cars had "character and personality". You made that thing just shine. I do love some WMF on a dark car!!!!
Great work, the depth of the paint is stunning. Nothing quite like a black car in the hands of a good detailer!!
Great work. You can really tell that the owner paid 15K for the paint job. There is so little orange peel that it looks odd!
thanks alot for all the kind words. Eric and I really had a good time working on such a nice piece of American steel.
Man all I can do is :applause: you guys stunning work for a stunning vehicle :applause: :applause: Thanks for all the pictures, enjoyed all the pictures :thumb:
