Corrective detail of a 2006 BMW 330xi, in Electric Red, with a few points of interest. The car had a vehicle length scratch down the passenger side from a branch sticking out on the side of the road, which has become a big issue in our area due to the harsh winter and high winds. A few scratches were visible on the driver's side as well that needed attention, the car was overall in great shape however. Swirls and marring were definitely present after the full citrus degrease and wash, as well as dried up wax in the trim and body edges. A great amount of improvement in the overall finish of the paint was made, really bringing out the true depth and color of this BMW Electric Red. Combination of the Hitachi Rotary and the PC 7424 were used on this project, as well as my first time using Meguiar's 105 compound in which I became a huge fan. Menzerna still ranks as my favorite all around, but Megs 105 now has a place on our shelves for good. I will let the pics do the talking, a great amount of work and effort was put in by Mikhael on this car, including his wetsanding work on the deeper scratches. Products used Hitachi rotary (first time) PC Menzerna Power Finish with orange and yellow pads Meguairs M105 with wool and yellow pads P21s paint cleanser P21s TAW P21s WC Meguairs Wheel Brightner (some spots on rims) Meguiars Super degreaser (tires) Isopropyl alcohol (wipedown) BF Wet Diamond Car as it arrived before washing scratch on pass side (from front fender till almost back fender) During Wash yellow stuff coming off from tires. After wash defect check correction test panel, fixed about 50%. Orange and 203. After couple more panels we did 105 and yellow on rotary, followed with 203 and orange 50/50 scratch is gone(visibly, but it still there just not noticeable, its very deep and cant be removed without compromising clear coat, owner was very satisfied with result) Tail lights Before after Headlight before after Wheels and tires (tires dressed with RubberDub, wheels sealed with Rejex) before after Exhaust tips before and after sealant is on finished pics
