I've love my MS Ultragloss. I wash 5 days a week and it doesn't seem to diminish my LSP of choice. Wed I get CG Mr Pink and DodoJuice Born to be Mild so I'm curious as to those

Thanks for the feedback fellas. I love using Lusso Oro, but it's not cheap by any means. I have many soaps with gloss agents and I'm looking for one that doesn't have gloss agents and it's cost effective. I ordered some Optimum Car Wash and I'll be adding ONR. I will report back.

I also use Lusso. Have switched to ultima and super slick and suds. Those are good but Lusso extends the lsp and cleans all but the most filthy greasy cars. I try other stuff but keep coming back to Lusso.

I use Megs GC, it has no added gloss agents.

Optimum Car Wash is a great choice, has a very nice scent and decent cleaning ability. I just picked up a gallon of CG Mr. Pink though, and it is my current favorite! Smells like cotton candy, it's ultra concentrated (1 oz. in my 5 gal bucket) and has some great cleaning capability. And neither of those has any glossing agents that I'm aware of.

The "no glossing agents" issue is a murky one as it is my understanding that many of the commonly used surfactants also add gloss even though that isn't their primary function. Beware of claims of no glossing agents from marketing departments.
Per Dr. G Optimum Car Wash does contain glossing agents, however, I do think this is a very good shampoo.
I also use and like Lusso Auto Bathe, Dodo Juice Born to be Mild and Prima Hydro Wash. I've heard all of these claimed to be low or no glossing agent shampoos but none of them are notably inexpensive.
I'm in the minority but I am not a CG fan at all, too much BS. IMO they often are on the thin edge of outright deceptive marketing. I think they are the three-card monte dealer of detailing supply companies.

Gtechniq G wash has no gloss ehnancers. I also like using Wolfs Nano shampoo though i'm not sure about it having glossing agents.

Otc i like Megs GC and Mothers California Gold Car Wash.

I would focus on the best technique and a good mitt and less about the specific soap.

Most soaps will lubricate enough. Get a good mitt that is known for being safe on delicate surfaces and wash carefully using common sense. No scrubbing, keep the mitt clean, etc.

Then focus on careful drying techniques because that can scratch just as much if not more.

Thanks for all the responses. I completely agree with the fact that technique is more important than the slickness of the car soap, but I wanted to see if there was a product out there that stood out among all. I foam the vehicle before washing with the 2-bucket method and I remove the water excess with my leaf blower. I noticed last week that my new vehicle is hard to correct, but easy to marr when wiping polishes. I didn't notice any wash marring in the area that I corrected, leading me to believe that the towel marring only happens when the paint is warm and freshly polished.

Duragloss seems the slickest to me, and I've tried plenty. Of course, I use it at oz / gallon per the bottle. It likely has gloss enhancers though. None of the car washes seem very "slick" to me one they are mixed with water. If your looking for cost effective, Poor Boys Super Slick Suds is another good one, Optimum as well.

If you already use Lusso, it's as slick as it get without being stupid and buying super expensive shampoo. Honestly I love it and use only Lusso to wash my jet black X5.

I would suggest you rinse well with a pressure washer, apply foam to paint but do not rinse, and then proceed with a two bucket. This should give you an extra layer of protection. Of course, some will use just one bucket but rinse the mitt out with a hose prior to dipping back into the wash bucket so no rinsing is possibly dirty rinse bucket. Dylan had a video of using a 3rd bucket for a second rinse.

I have seen another technique where they flood the paint with a foam gun just ahead of the mitt as they wipe. This is sort of a dynamic version of the above.

Also, get a master blaster to dry to reduce changes during teh drying process. Use towels that have been damped already (like do the glass first or use a spray detailer).

    Just some ideas.

I agree with Al and would also add that I use DG 901 with great results, regardless of paint type.
