a checklist as in one you would use prior to the detail to note damages and that sort of stuff or a checklist for going over the vehicle after to make sure that all points for that particular detail package were covered? i always thought of using a checklist system but just never got around to it.
Yeah, Kinda like a save your butt if you missed anything lol. I have the invoice covered, I mean like, vehicle walk arounds, a form that you use to "walk around" the vehicle with the customer to note any damages or estimate your detail service... I guess a better question would be: What kind of business forms are you guys using, if any??? Im not looking for the actually copy, I just want ideas =P
it would probably be fairly easy to create a form to your specifications. I usually just take photos if i see something that is really damaged to save my ass but i have never had a customer accuse me of damaging anything . . . . . having a form though could be even better or just another step of precaution to take. You could create something in Excel with a little disclaimer at the top or bottom, make your list of items and have a place on the bottom for name, signature and date actually that just made me realize how easy it was. I might have to create one now LoL
Here's the one that I use for estimates/invoices just to give you a start: TSDetailing Vehicle Estimate
Yeah, it's an excel sheet with a couple images attached. I could probably compress it or remove the images but nobody has asked yet.
Yeah, but then it wouldn't be edit-able for those that would like to use it and just exchange their own info, logo, or other changes they feel like making. Mine was actually adapted from an old Autopia member (DDetail) which was much simpler and smaller file. I could probably upload that one as well if anyone would like.
