The other day I received a PM on one of the forums that I visit. The message was from Bugatti Autombiles USA asking if I could detail a Veyron Super Sport that was in town for the Classy Chassis show. Well of course I said yes, I was already attending the show for a shop that I do some work for and have about 6 cars and 3 bikes I have cleaned up for it. We scheduled it for today and I was given the number to their test driver. We arranged to do the car at the shop that I go to from time to time, the guys at this shop are exceptionally nice and allow me to work there even if I'm not doing anything for them. I COULD NOT WAIT!!!! I met with the test driver(we wont mention his name just in case) and he told me Bugatti only wanted the car washed thoroughly and the inside cleaned. No wax, no polishing, no leather treatment......simply basic so if you are wanting to see a 33 page full corection, you wont see it here. Anyway, the car was dirty from driving around and doing a press drive for Car and Driver(I believe) at Elington Field running up and down a run way yesterday. Interior 1Z Cockpit Premium Swissvax brush Water to clean windows Vac Exterior 1Z Perls Swissvax brush Schmitt Various brushes for wheels/wheel wells Big Blue II waffle weaves for drying I did spray the car down afterwards with Reload because I couldn't just leave it the way it was I apologize for some of the pictures, I have to blur out the other vehicles in the shop. Some of the pictures are with my iphone and others are with the camera. I didn't have my tri pod so they aren't the best pics but you can still tell what I was working on LOL. These are when it first came in and I began washing her All finished washing and drying, I used the reload right before he left so this is without it at the moment This is when he got to the show......the second time. He didn't know he couldnt have a full tank of gas so he had to go drive around to get down to a 1/4 tank, must be a horrible job LOL And a little video of when he was leaving the shop
What else can I say....wow! Did you get to move it at all? How bad was the finish? Sent from my HTC Vision using Tapatalk
Car is awesome, what a pleasure it must have been to work on it, nice job.... Looking at the plates (and rarity of car) it seems to be the same vehicle that two well known detailers worked on down in FL.
Love the blue carbon fiber. Thats an amazing opportunity you had, great job!! And yes, DID YOU DRIVE IT?
Yes it was the exact same car Todd and bryan worked on. The paint was in great shape, a couple of light scratches but really good looking finish. Unfortunately I didn't get to drive it. I have been so busy with the show and today was move in so after I finished I followed him to the stadium. Hopefully I can get a ride at the very least. Actually just being able to work on it and having Bugatti call me is more than enough. It was an honor to be called out of no where to work on it. Plus blue is my favorite color, it was simply amazing. I will NEVER forget it.
Simpy amazing!! That is awesome, what an opportunatey. I saw 5 Veyrons in Pebble Beach in 2008, look much better in person. Wow, hats off.
All I want to do is to touch that car right now, cool thing is I am watch a docu on the original Veyron right now PM me for the link has cool info like the car actually makes 3003 hp but since 2/3 is heat it's 1001 at the wheels
Yeah that car is absolutely incredible. Following him out to the stadium was unreal, just seeing that thing on the road was awesome. Everyone around the car had their phones out and taking pics/video. It was funny
