i used this on our F40 easter weekend took me almost 3 hours to apply and remove since you can only work a small area at a time - i kept trying to push it further but it just made it so much harder to remove also all the inlets, creases etc on the f40 panels didnt help under the metal hallide lights in our warehouse i didnt see much swirl hiding ability, gloss and richness was quite good, but nowhere near the mystery and concorso ive applied on the panels in the past (admittedly with the SV cleaner) but wheeling it out in the sun was a different story. It masked about 80% of swirls in direct sunlight, and gloss was up. Not sure why and how it was hiding swirls in full sun and not under the hallides imo, if you dont need to fill swirls, i wouldnt bother. I was planning on using Blackfire GEP and/or Clearkote RMG + VMG in addition to BHAB, but they were turning my pad red too quickly. Both were so much easier to use and both can fill swirls just as good. So that's my 2 cents
Auto Balm does require some patience to apply as it can only be done a panel at a time and getting it off at the right time is critical but if you need to mask minor swirling, there is nothing that does it better than this.
i have quite a few swirl fillers now (getting ready for a solid black daily), so im going to do a test using my solid black GT2 which still has its fair share of dealer induced swirls that i havent gotten around to correcting yet i rekon the liquid glazes should work just as well as BHAB given my feedback on the F40 having said that though, i can never replicate the results of these swirl fillers like i see on the net, and i have pretty much all of them now.....Amigo, Hydro, BF GEP, CK RMG & VMG, Polylack, Blackhole, EZ-Creme etc. What im really keen to try is RMG on the DA then topping with VMG by hand
It's not difficult. Both RBOE and BHAB have certain techniques to apply them. If you don't know the technique, you'll be ripping your hair out. If you do, it's easy-peasy-lemon squeezy. BHAB has a unique look to it. It's going to make bright reflections brighter, and dark reflections darker, if that makes sense. So say on a black car, during the day, it's gonna look like a bright mirror out in the sunlight, but if you pull it into a shadow, it's gonna be a DARK black. Personally, I only like it on some colors, it will look good on a silver flake but not a black or dark non-flake color.
I agree. I think I have tested almost everything in side by side tests with Ab and nothing was even a close second on paint i poor condition. Follow the directions and you'll be happy with the results. Keep in mind that its not a miracle in a jar. It'll hide light swirling completely and mask minor defects bon't IT DOES NOT FILL SCRATCHES.
Ithought bhab was good on black? I'm not looking for the filling ability. Ken on side note what would shipping of the 5 raceglaxze brushes and sample of raceglaze 55 be to NC 27407? Thanks
Could you use auto balm over an existing sealant? I have a hand applied werkstat acrylic prime + acrylic jett on my car right now (applied in Feb '10). I'm thinking of using auto balm on at the end of April, or would I need to strip off the sealant? If i do need to strip it off, what methods would be recommended for the werkstat acrylics?
AB doesn't play well with others. I'd strip the Werkstat off. Just presoak the car with your APC and wash as normal.
hi, i got this stuff i like it on silver grey more than on solid white. the only thing a dont like is the touch feeling ... so i top it with another wax . and obtain a sheeting like "UQD vidéo" . how can i expect in protection time for an outside living car ? thanks
Be very careful topping it with wax. KRSchultz and JL both topped it with negative results. The other thing is do NOT use it on trim..it will turn it grey after a wash or two. It looks good initially but does not stay that way.

You can watch the story unfold in real time as JL and I both tried topping BHAB with zymol Vintage in this thread. It's funny to read back and see how happy we both were, especially me, only to later realize that the two LSPs were incompatible. To be fair to BHAB, we were warned of the potential incompatibility, and chose to experiment anyway. Win some, lose some. I count myself among BHAB's biggest fans. To me, it looks amazing even when you don't need fillers. It has a unique look all its own, and quite reliably gets me compliments from folks I don't even know. I've been asked "have you had your car painted a different color silver?" by a few fellow S2000 owners, each time while the car was wearing BHAB. If I had to choose only one LSP for every possible type of detailing that I do, it would be BHAB. One other thing I only remembered last weekend that BHAB is great for - gauge cluster lenses. Ever since I bought my S2000 (used), the gauge cluster, which is an LCD digital display, has been scratched up, presumably by the previous owner unknowingly using a paper towel. BHAB does a very nice job of filling in those tiny scratches. I've been meaning to try it on my F250, which shares the same problem, but keep forgetting to do so.
after some use on stock wheel ( direct brillant paint , single stage ? ) very good. on coated painted: this stuff last more than lots of other ( NXT2 , 3M ROSA , ... not Z2 ) i try it on many color : grey , white , dark blue . and i notice than it' not an optical 100 % as Z say .. i see a yelow'ish on métal and white wich is flagrant. my use. on my wheel , bilberry 1:10 and it leave ...
