This was the neighbour across the street from the house where I did the Corvette and previous black G35. He is also the neighbour to the G37 I did last year. It’s been a good neighourhood for me, I also have a Jaguar X-type coming up from another neighbour. The paint was in bad shape again, too many trips through the local whip and swirl car wash, and being an 05, its seen a lot of abuse. The owner wanted it to look better, not perfect so I played around a bit with polishes and compounds trying to get what I could get done in the time allotted.
    Process
    Washed with 2BM with ONR
Cleaned the wheels with Megs WB, then Magnificient, then Iron X
Clayed with Autowerkes exclusive blue clay
Compounded sections with Menz PG and Presta UCC
    Polished with Menz PF
Switched from wool to foam, many times playing around with cuts
Sealed the car with Riccardo Ultra Depth Wax, very nice soft wax

You're like the G-boss of S. Ontario. Good grief, these cars come to you seriously hammered. Excellent work Bryan.

What Mike says is right, they do come hammered and you turn them into mirrors

Just trying to keep up with all the great american turnarounds. I have to help hold it down for those north of the border.

Reminds me so much of my paint, I swear I have some of the same marks! I hate working on it though.

    Looks great!

Very nice. Reminds me of my last G35 sedan! Mine was lakeshore slate though... (light blue)

I love Infiniti paint. It corrects so nicely.

so on the pillars, you just used the same polishes you were using on the paint? I have an 03 red g sedan with similar looking pillars.

Man that G35 was really screwed when you received it, its like they washed it with dirt. Great job bring it back to life lets just hope now that the bodyshop than paints the decklid doesn't screw it up again with overspray and holograms.
