    I previously detailed my managers '95 911:

Now it's time for my lawyers '88 911 :headbang:
This 911 was in for full detail excluding polishing and interior. However, I included application of glaze. It's a hot summer day and I was sweatin my ass off so dont mind that. I got a little camera happy though :picture:. I feel like elaborating and talking so bear with me. Here we go:

Start, pretty well maintained car, just needed a detail:

    The Wash:
Glossworkz: Nope. This isnt maintenance a wash.
Maxi Suds: Nope. No need for maintenance wash foam gun shampoo.
CGCW+G: Yes. Need to strip off prior LSP protection.

Nice beading but it has to go.

Rinsed off then sprayed entire car with CG Grime Reaper 5:1
    [IMG]

    Citrus Foam Pre-Rinse.

After Grime Reaper and Pre-Rinse. Not bad!

Wash- Two bucket method with natural seasponge. 1oz CGCW/1gal.

    Sorta looks like Camaro, ewwwww.

Agitated with 4:1 APC and SV Brush
    [IMG]

    Wheels Before:

    CG Sticky Gel 5:1
    [IMG]

APC 4:1 on tires and wheel wells
    [IMG]

Which brush to choose, small or fat. I chose small, as there were literally a few inches of wheel barrel behind the face.

Had to rush now cause the sun was almost all the way up.
Dried car with Cobra guzzlers and blow out cracks/crevices with ShopVac blower.
    After Wash:

    Clay time:

Pretty much the only contaminants on the car. Very light elsewhere.

Turned to the side and couldn't help but notice my baby

This is what was leftover after the wash, water spot/trails:

    Time for glaze:

    Hood after glaze:

Applied glaze by hand where machine couldn't reach:

    Powerlock:

    Thin ribbons...perfect:

While Powerlock cured for about 30 min...
P21S Restoring Cream on wheel lip:

    Then JetSeal'd - no pics

    Wheel Wells got Bare Bones:

    Removed Powerlock. Time for wax.
Hmmmmm, Swissvax Insignis or CG Ezyme?

Ezyme! Won it in the Facebook Chemical Guys contest so I thought I'd give it a shot!

Just goes to show that even well kept cars can benefit from a little bit extra work! But are you sure that is Bare Bones? It looks a bit bubbly to me... ;)

Ezyme is great wax. Easy on somewhat easy off if you time the cure time properly. It obviously leaves a very deep, wet look. I feel so good that I made an older car look so beautiful, of course with the help of this high-end LSP. I recommend it because of ease of application (little goes a long way) and its great looks. Now just going to monitor its durability when I revisit this client for maintenance washes.

Tires were dressed with 3M Tire Restorer, just didnt include the pic cause I already have like 48 pics in this thread lol.

    Thanks man!

Thank you! I agree, the temperature can make or break the fun of detailing.

    :) Thank you!

I know right! Very cool people though. They are a Porsche family! In the extra garages seen in the final pics, they have a race car. It's pretty sick looking. They also have a lift back there too. They are also very active in the Porsche club around here!

I was lookin forward to seeing the red pop as well! Thanks!

I think the glaze helped alot. It's like a sped up 1step correction lol.
Hahaha yes its the real Bare Bones! That would have been horrible if I was spraying it on the body in the beginning when I was stripping off the LSP. That would be an oily dressing disaster :thud:

I love the look the E-Zyme gave wow. Hopefully I love it...which I bet I will as I haven't used any LSP I didn't, in it's own right. Thanks for sharing Lance. I can smell the E-Zyme already...

Just a quick question. How do you apply powerlock? Do you have to work in the sealant using speed 3-4 until it has broken down or just apply it like wax and let it sit on the paint for 30mins? then wipe it down when it is dried?

No doubt about that, but you definately did that car justice! That black thing in the background doesn't look too bad either...

You could apply it by hand with an applicator, using a machine just speeds up the process.

You using it on a car tomorrow or what?

Applied it via PC/Black LC Beveled Pad on speed 3. Didnt want it to diminish so just did one pass. I let it sit for 30 minutes for time purposes then after I buffed it off let it sit for 15 minutes.

I feel great about it! Doesnt seem like a 1988 either. Not that old lookin!
Thats the 'Sex Horse' in the background. Awesome name huh ahhahaah :giterdone:

Car looks real deep and wet. Great job. Did you use all six blue pads to apply the glaze?

    Thank you!
    I used 5 of them I think.
Used each pad til it got red from the single stage paint.
