Well I am new here so I figured I would start off with a simple thread. I tackled this engine in a 2003 honda civic that had 230,000 miles on the ticker and was still going strong. Products used -Adams APC -Swissvax brush -Adam's Lug brush -Adams's car shampoo -master blaster -Optibond tire gel -Chemical guys black on black spray dressing I started by rinsing off the engine bay and seeing how much dirt was left. And not surprisingly there wasa lot! I then soaked in a healthy dose of APC and let dwell followed by a rinse. Then in my bucket of APC and car shampoo I hit all the hard to reach areas with my various brushes followed by a wash mit on large areas. Then hosed off once more and dryed the engine bay. Then dressed all plastics and called it good! A 50/50 of the dressing soaking in. (right side dressed left side not) A LONG LONG ways from perfect but it was a good improvement for the car with that many miles on the clock!
Huge improvement! Good work, I love cleaning nasty engine bays and watching the customers face when I show them. Also, welcome to DB!
Good work. Maybe if I'm feeling frisky tomorrow I'll clean my moms car and do the engine bay, it's filthy too.
thanks for the kind words all! I have been lurkign around here for a while just now getting around to posting up. And good to see you still around after that ordeal on the other forum 3pedalmini!
