New 2014 Porsche Turbo S to start the new year right, since the first pics and video's were released I have been waiting for this car to grace my shop and it is "All that and a bag of chips" Truly a new car prep and coating, as some recent vehicles I have completed that were new came in with issues and this car was not damaged and very light marring in a few spots. After a through wash/decon I set out to look for defects and the roof area had some light marring as mentioned. All cleared up. Wheels and calipers were being coated, so enlisted James from Sharkwerks to use his big bucks torque wrench for centerlock Porsche wheels and the fact I know of nobody with more Porsche tech knowledge personally to complete the task right. Barrels cleaned, polished then coated. Coating the calipers. It was a little dirty in the wells but not enough for a before pic, shrouds and suspension components dialed in. There was some marring on the left side of the front bumper, nothing to get excited about though. Late night polishing. 997 Gen 1. sharing the shop with the new younger brother. Coating on, checking for high spots. With the hydrophobic properties. Gloss Black windows on point. All trim dressed with a satin finish. Underside of the wing and all painted areas coated. Clear paint and wide hips...................... More wet gloss. Adult spec........GT Silver over the Dark Red for Porsche cleaness. A little Carbon Fiber cannot hurt.......... Curvy Girl......... As I have mentioned in the past.......................if you do not like this, there IS a problem.............. as good as it gets presently. Ready to go.
Bob you always put a smile on my face everytime I look at your work. You inspire me to step up my work. BTW that rear wiper on a 911 Tubro S needs to go!
Bob, I love this car. I agree- this is as good as it gets. You did a great job bringing out the gloss as I have come to expect from you and your team. I was wondering if the center lock weeks were a PITA to remove and re-install? If you had the torque wrench would you feel comfortable doing it next time. They look very cool but I wonder about the ability of an average Joe like me being able to live with the interlock. Thanks
