The owner of this GTI is a good friend of mine and gets a new car about every 2-3 years. He traded his BMW in for this brand new GTI less than a week old. When I arrived the car only had 300 km. Luckily, some of my OCD has rubbed off on him over the years and I was glad to hear he instructed the dealer not to wash or prep the car. This time around he just wanted a sealant applied to protect the paint and make washing & drying easier. The owner actually helped me out on this one due to some back pain iv'e been dealing with, so total time spent was only 2 hours. Process: Presoak with OPC 3:1 Washed with Dawn and Duragloss 902 mixture Decontaminated with CarPro TRIX Sealed with Opti Seal x 2 Windows cleaned with Stoners IG Tires treated with Poorboys Bold n Bright Trim treated with Poorboys Trim Restorer The car before - about one week of daily driver road grime Crusty wheels Getting to work I used Dawn with car wash soap to remove any wax/oil/grease on the paint After inspecting the paint, clay was not needed and I chose not to risk marring. I used TRIX just to be safe and remove any iron particles. Can't really see it working on darker colours I rinsed and then dried with a blower and waffle weaves I then applied two coats of Optimum Opti Seal, cleaned the windows, and dressed the tires and trim. This is what I was left with Thanks for looking!
