Good evening, Yes, some of you might have seen this one already. I did a simple wash 'n Zaino on this SUV back in early April. The customer called me and said that he wanted it all polished out, and I had some time on Sunday to take care of it. And he had a surprise for me waiting, more on that later... 1) Foam with Citrus Wash 'n Gloss (strong mix to strip Zaino) 2) Wash with Citrus Wash 'n Gloss and ShMITT (strong mix to strip Zaino) 3) Megs Multi Piece on the wheels, with DB wheel brush to get them clean 4) Dried with Sonus Der Wunder towel 5) M105 w/ Flex / Orange CCS / 4 / on hood (didn't work) 6) SIP w/ Flex / Orange CCS / 5 7) 85RD w/ Flex / White CCS / 5 8) Zaino Z1 9) Zaino Z5 Pro 10) Zaino Z2 Pro 11) Megs Last Touch wipe down - P21S Metal Polish/Nevr Dull on exhaust pipes - Adam's VRT on tires - Last Touch on wheels, door seals - Duragloss 751 on all windows - 1Z Cockpit Cleaner/Plastic Cleaner on all plastic and vinyl - 1Z Leather Condition on all leather (great stuff!!!) - Adam's Undercarriage Spray The hood has some deep water etching that came off well with SIP. For the deeper RIDS, I decided to give the M105 a try. That stuff FLASHED QUICKER THAN A DUTCH WHORE DURING MARDI GRAS! I got about 5-10 seconds of working time out of it, horrible. No matter what speed I used, and this was all done in a climate controlled garage. Gave that up VERY quickly! Anyway, on with the photos... Upon arrival at 9:30am, already 85 outside... Dirty, but nothing too bad. SURPRISE! Had a CR unit waiting for me to be used!!! This thing is SO WICKED!!! Zaino beading STRONG!!! VERY STRONG! Nice nice nice... AFTERS! The blue metallic paint is gorgeous... The pipes came out nicely! Hope you all enjoyed. Comments and questions are always welcome. P1et :afro:
Great job Piet! I knew you would love the CR. Great peace of mind not having to worry about waterspots especially when its so freakin' hot outside! I do love the blue on that thing as well. You are doing some very fine work my friend!
Nice work P1et! i was just wondering P1et was that beading from the zaino after 2 months of application or right after you have just applied it? The paint work looks great P1et:thumb:
Amazing work as usual! I didn't know that Zaino can be stripped with Citrus wash and gloss. I'm sure it will put a dent in it, but I still prefer polishing, or some chemical cleaner to completely remove previous layers of sealant. P21S followed by Never Dull on tail pipes, huh? Came out awesome! 1Z leather stuff, how is it compared to other quaility leather products, like 4*, Wolfgang/Pinnacle, Leather Master, or Surf City Garage? It's kinda pricey, just wanna make sure it's worth it.
Great job as always bud, that CR spotless unit is amazing, i think you are going to want one for yourself now after getting a chance to use one first hand.
Great Job Piet. I have heard that M105 is hard to get used to using. That it works quick and flashes quickly. I have a bottle of M95 that I am picking up today. Heard it works a little longer but still leaves the nice finish of 105. I think SuperBee has used them both and thats who I read that 95 is nice also. I will report back when I need to use it.
Thanks! It's a fantastic product, and even though I was sceptical, I performed so nicely in the blazing hot sun on dark paint. Not a single spot left! The pressure was nice as well, couldn't see a difference! That is actually the Zaino beading through the layer of dirt before washing. This was applied in early April. You're right: even with a strong Citrus Wash 'n Gloss wash, the beading was still pretty much the same. I had to polish it off indeed! Yes, the metal polish combo was great. The P21S took off the dirt, but not the tar overspray. Nevrdull came through like a champ though and with almost no effort, it all came off. Impressive! I really like the 1Z Leather Conditioner. It smells more like a lotion than a strong leather smell like the Duragloss stuff. The leather felt softer faster and the smell was very minimal, I really had to put my nose on it to smell it... An easy process with an MF, just wipe on and walk away. Recommended! Thanks, the blue was indeed looking nice with all the metallic flakes! It looks darker than in reality in the pictures, thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks man! This one took a while since the customer found some "scratches" that he wanted taken care of, but they were a bit too much even for M105. I didn't want to wetsand on a 2008 Mercedes! And yes, using the CR unit is very tempting now! The good news is that the water at my house is not hard at all... I was very hard to get used to and I quickly gave up. Maybe it's made for the wool on rotary, in which case perhaps I'll only use it by hand or something. With the Flex on the orange CCS pads, it was useless.
Piet nice job there bro... man after hearing your horror stories on 105 im reluctant to try it... most I've heard say u have to use a wool pad, and pick it up off the paint instead of applying it to the pad first. How did you use it?? Awesome job on the car NTL... so is the guy gonna have you maintain the other cars monthly??
I followed the advice on this forum and put a few drops on the paint, then picked it up with the orange pad. It completely disappeared into the paint after only a few seconds. The paint got pretty warm though, but I couldn't tell it really making a difference. Keep in mind though that this paint was already in good shape, so even doing a 50/50 would have been useless. I want to get my hands on a trashed single stage Volvo and really put M105 to the test! Yes, he wants me to maintain all four of his cars. I just call him when I feel like doing one, and go over there. Pretty easy going guy.
