The temperature is significantly low here in Calgary, but that doesn’t stop me or my customers from detailing :thumb: Vehicle is in for an interior and a winter preparation. The vehicle is a: 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 First I brought the vehicle inside my garage and cranked up the heater to melt as much snow on the vehicle as possible. Here is what I was up against: What’s this? Snow that doesn’t seem to want to melt off? I’m sure the steamer will make quick work of this snow :thumb: The exhaust tip is going to need some attention. Door jams are also going to need some attention. Well as you can see the vehicle isn’t in too bad condition, just requires some attention that’s all. First I removed all winter floor mats: Then gave the entire vehicle a good vacuum: Once I was satisfied with the vacuum, it was time to put the steamer to good use. Now most of you that have seen my details know that normally I would do a wipe down, well I’ve been testing out the steamer on my own vehicles and it’s time to implement the steamer on my detailing regiment. So I got the steamer ready: Once it was heated up and ready to go, off I go: I would steam the area and then simply wipe it down: To say the steamer performed well is an understatement. I then dressed the interior with Optimum Protection. This took care of the interior, now it was time to concentrate on the exterior. For this the two bucket system is used with ONR, a sea sponge and a Dehydrator: Now of course the steamer is also utilized on the exterior of the vehicle: Steamer was also utilized on the rims, wheel wells and tires: Once I was completely done the exterior it was time to protect it, for this DG 105 is used: All door jams were also protected: The rims also received a coat of sealant: Making sure to get all the way inside: Well that concludes day one, I let the sealant sit over night to make sure optimum bondage was obtained: The next day it was time to buff off the sealant, for this various Cookie Monsters were used: Now it was time to finish off a few minor details, the winter floor mats needed to be cleansed, the steamer was used :thumb: The exhaust tip really need some attention, so a steel wool was used partnered up with Autosol: Here is how the exhaust tip was transformed to: Windows were done with a glass micro fiber towel and Stoners Invisible Glass. This concludes this detail and here are some final pictures: Tires were dressed with Optimum. Well the temperature may be brutally low outside, but in my garage it’s perfect temperature to detail :thumb: Hope you guys enjoyed the detail.
Hi Nica, nice steamer. It'll clean up all the virus, not only the dirt :applause2: Btw, did the steamer caused a wet surface? Is it safe for the electrical part ie. power windows, in dash CD player, all the panels (AC, radio tape, etc)? Maybe not entirely wet, but at least damp, right?

Nice job Nica. Love the ability of the steamer and looks to be a very valuable tool. Man I didn't think there was any way to get a better interior than a Nica done interior but one done by Nica with a steamer really does make it better. Oh and I'm really starting to like these cars the more I see them.

Thank you all for the kind words/feed back it's very much appreciated. I'm quite impressed with the steamer, inside and out side it does an incredible job. Best of all the steamer made quick work of the interior. I mean when I was done the interior I wanted to do more :shrug: Yes, that's right. I've read that the steam will kill off bacteria, virus among other things :nod: The steamer does cause a wet surface but that all depends on the user, when I'm doing electronic areas I don't steam the area too long, even with a quick pass it will leave moisture, not a log of moisture but enough to lift dirt or what ever is on the surface. The best thing is that because the steam comes out at a certain pressure it gets in all cracks and crevice. In the past I would have to use a compressor to make sure that during my wipe down I wasn't leaving too much water behind from my brush/microfiber. With the steamer I rarely had to use my compressor, I still do use my compressor but not to remove excess water. :giggle: I was being a little silly when I did the write up lol...you should have seen the first draft I came up with hahahaha...I agree this vehicle is quite nice, inside and out. Actually this vehicle is surprisingly large, the interior has plenty of room and the trunk is a very nice size trunk too. Not a bad vehicle if you ask me. As to the gallon per minute flow...:shead: um to be honest I don't know. If I remember correctly the tank will take 1.5gallons of water...If i remember correctly that is...but I'll look up the specs and get back to you.

You'd be surprise what a steamer (any kind of steamer) will make when detailing a vehicle, specially on leather seats :thumb: Yes, this is a re-peat customer. I've been fortunate, the owner of this vehicle is brothers with a Subary I did before as well. They are pleased with how I detail and I'm lucky that they bring there vehicles to me at least twice a year. Great customers :thumb: Yes, that is a clear bra on the hood. Oh yes, the vehicle you detailed and the one I detailed look exactly the same huh, same colour and all :cheerl:
