Hello Everyone! I wanted to share my latest project, a 2006 Hummer H3 owned by one of my parents' neighbours (and good friend, I might add). He knows that I'm a detailing fanatic, and wanted to learn how to properly care for his SUV. :thumb: While not a full write-up (no time for in-process pics this time), I snapped a few pics of the final results. Autoglym HD wax was chosen as an LSP mainly because it's fantastic for the price, but also because it's now widely available in the US and my friend can pick up his own pot of it at any Wal-Mart store. Again, sorry for the briefness, but here are the results: Thanks for looking! Cheers, ~Scott
Great job I have never used AG HD how is it on on and off applications, also how long does it last approximately on a garage kept vehicle Before another coat is needed.
Danny, The wax holds up very well. I was surprised the first time I used it that it wasn't until after the fifth car wash (and multiple hard rains) that it started to deteriorate. And that was only ONE coat! Autoglym suggest using a damp applicator to spread the wax (two included in the box, both already pre-dampened) and it goes on thin... and just let it haze for about two to three minutes and it comes right off leaving an incredible shine. Dollar for dollar, this is the best wax you can buy in a retail store! :thumb:
So you apply it and remove it panel by panel then or by sections because if its removed that fast you cant apply it to the entire vehicle I am guessing. Also what do you re-dampen your applicator with, the next time water or a quick detailer?
