so ... tell me more about Zymol Glasur...

how is it in terms of its looks, ease of application, removal, and durability.
please make comparisons to other waxes you have tried if possible.

oh, and has anyone tried out their duster before ?

    thanks

Nica, isn't this one of your favorite waxes? I heard that it was a major sleeper within the Zymol lineup.

it is a sleep in the zymol wax range. People go from titanium to concours without looking at glasur. I know I sure did.

It has a similar application as all the other zymol's, not easy but once you get the hand og it its not bad. It takes some practice and experimentation to figure it out...

here is a video i did (i know shamelss plug)

As for duranility, to be honest i dontk now. I have never let it go long enough beofre adding another coat. I think its some where around the titanium range witch i often get 6 weeks out of easily.

and looks, the one things I have learned about zymols waxes is that they all have there own glow and optical range, however they share an underlying chacteristic. The warmth and glow on them is awesome. Glasur is no exception.
I would suggest picking up a tub, if you dont like it after a couple uses upgrade your account and sell it on here...

    ust my 2 cents

what about application by foam applicator ?

its easy enough, it spreads well. The problem comes in removing. It often takes a few wipe downs to get the wax off. I often use 2-3 mf towels to remove any zymol, but its well worth the effort

Glasur is very nice IMO. I applied it via foam applicator, and used Uber towels to remove it. Don't know about the durability. Awesome wax for black paint!!! Great shine too :thumb:

What would you actually compare it to in the SV or Zymol lineup?

hmmm...compare it huh..:shead:...well I would have to say it compares quite well with Swissvax Best of Show...I like best of show but I always have a hard time choosing between Swissvax Best of Show and Zymol Glasur or Destiny...but again that's just my opinion

    Carlos,

whats your opinion on the removal part ?
if im not wrong zymol waxes are known for being hard to buff off...

 You bet they are, see Zymol waxes/products are very anal. You have to stick to there process, follow it to the "t". But to me they are well worth the effort, for example when you use Zymol Vinyl, first you apply it. At first it has a shiny look, which I don't like, but if you let it sit for several minutes then give it a good buff it looks incredible. Makes the interior look better then new.

As far as the application of Glasur, like it's entire line up, they are some what easy to apply but the removal process is a pain. I mean once you apply, let it bond to the vehicle, then buff off but it will take several towels to buff off...then you have to wait for the wax to sweat, one's it has done so you give it a final wipe down with Zymol Field Glaze...like I said it's a long process...but the results are well worth it. I have nothing against the process, in fact the vehicles I detail and for those that appreciate a good Carnuaba wax on there vehicle I will follow the exact same process just like I do on my own vehicles.

Interesting. I actually am starting to feel that way with Saphir compared to BoS.

I love glasur, it looks fantastic, and the durability is good. I use Vintage on my Porsche, because the refills are free, but I highly recommend the Glasur. It also smells really good.

hmm , guess I'll stay out of this one then.

i hate it especially when the removal process is too inconvenient.
and also the after-math follow up regarding the sweating and final wipe down with field glaze. dont think it would suit my style then :)

have you tried the duster ?

Man I don't know how I missed a thread on a wax I like a lot. I agree with Calgary in that it is a real underrated wax in the Zymol lineup. As far as removal I do like the jar says and "don't let it dry" before buffing off. I usuall leave it on a panel for 5-10 minutes tops and then buff it off. It is an absolute breeze to buff off if you follow their directions. Vintage you can leave on for a while before buffing off but Glasur needs to buffed off before it drys or its a pain to get off. If you look at some of my show and shines you will see a lot of my work with Glasur.

I dont think you can get it off before it dries even if you do a 2x2? I have never had it sweat on me either? I have done maybe 5 applications.

You def need several mf to wipe off.
