Nice, okay so water + vents = :thumb: Nice, thank you for sharing with us, so what did you do when you were done? Did you just dry the vents as best as possible? Air compressor? Just curious that's all. Oh are most vents for the engine? From the last one I saw I think it that most vents are for the engien but I can't remember :shead: :shead: I just saw one but :druling: way to much and didn't get a mental picture of the vents :druling: :druling:
One of the greatest cars of its day...... Sweet job dude. I didnt know you were a Zaino guy:tiptoe::giggle: The ride in it after would have been payment enough for me :headbang:
Yep, absolutely no worries with the vents! Yes, I dried the vents as good as possible. The good thing is that they are very big, so you can put your entire hand in them without any issues! The only tricky ones were the small plastic strips of ventage on the rear engine cover. There was one spot where it kept dripping!!! I have my shop vac with me (I always carry a seperate filter for blowing and another filter for sucking) but didn't have electricity to hook it up where I was drying it. So I just had to get in there as carefully as possible and blow on it myself to get the water out!!! Been using Zaino since 2000 but like most, got carried away with all the other millions of products that are offered. My standard wash 'n wax is Jetseal + Lusso Oro, for a little extra you get the full Zaino.
Piet wow bro!! man u should of called me and I would of brought out my trailer and you would of looked totally professional... I wouldn't want money, just a chance to touch a car like that!!
Michael, that would have been WICKED! He lived pretty far out in Drippings Springs so that would have been one LONG arse drive for you!!!
i know DS... went through there to get to fredricksburg for the Goatfest.... that place has ALOT of money, trust me, it would of been worth the drive... maybe you could of just pitched in for GAS!!! haha LOL
Does a gopher pop outta those holes on the seat? just kidding! That's a very sexy machine, I would love to get my hands on one of those. When will you be polishing her?
Who is doing the TT conversion? Jason (Heffner)? JH's kits for the GT are amazing. Fit, finish and performance!
The common procedure is to replace the supercharger with the TT kit, but there is a GT here in FL that has both. Actually, there are a couple. Jason has done it and another tuner as well. Also, they are making kits for the Terminators now that add a TT kit and let you retain the supercharger.
No gophers in the seats, but a little gopher fur would certainly makes the seats more comfortable! I know it's all about saving weight, but DAMN, talk about strictly business racing seats! In regards to polishing it, since I'm doing the details on it now going forward, hopefully NEVER since the paint is in top shape. As long as I'm carefuly with my washing and drying, no polishing will be needed. A local performance garage is doing the conversion, he'll be the first customer to have it done.
Nice work on what I consider to be a fantastic car that is very well built. I may have a few clients in the Austin area to throw your way as people call me from that area to come out and detail their cars. Shoot me your contact info via PM so I can pass on your info to them. Thanks, Anthony
So that's why there's holes, I've never thought of that. I thought it was so a breeze can go through haha. With you washing it, I bet there will never be a swirl ever!
