I used heat gun + plastic scraper to remove the pin strips first. turns out the lock end of the zip tie was the easiest thing I could find and use.

There was a lot of adhesive left. First tried Adam's Swirl & Haze then with Menzerna SIP both with yellow pad. Tried both PC and Makita. Some came off, but not all and took a lot of time. I then tried googone with yellow pad on a PC. It actually remove the adhesive pretty nicely and didn't take as much effort as before. :) Since I was on PC I didn't have to worry about burning the paint. :)

So it's all gone now! :)

thanks! :) oh yeah, it does look A LOT better without... Too bad the guy just wanted a simple detail, nothing fancy. Which I understand, it's just an old 4Runner... But it would be nice to bring it back to live. :)

Detail, who's Evo is that and who is it tuned by, if you don't mind me asking? :)

I'm often in the SJ area for school (SJSU) and was wondering if I may have somehow crossed paths with you, hehe.

haha I don't think you've ever seen that evo on the street. It's a full blown race car own by Speed Element, built by Speed Element and Tuned by Speed Element. :) The owner is a good friend of mine and I do a lot of my work there. :)

    I drive a slow 00 Subaru 2.5 RS and 08 BMW 328i.
