Polished Headlight on Pontiac Vibe

    Only have one done so far. Here was the process I used.

    1. Cleaned with Kleenol
    2. Claybarred with Riccardo Clay
    3. Menzerna SIP on an Orange 4" Pad on Porter Cable
    4. Menzerna 106FA on white 4" Pad on Porter Cable
    5. Klasse AIO On White 4" Pad on Porter Cable
    6. Klasse SG on Black 4" Pad on Porter Cable

    That one looks great. I don't know why I wet sand them. That looks at lot easier to me than what I do...:thumb:

    When you can see shiat 3 feet in front of you at nighttime you have two choices.

    1. Pay $210 for each Lens at GM
    2. Spend an hour or two polishing the lenses.

    At first, I really didn't know whether you were serious, just joking or just giving a hard time to Chris.....Heheheeeeeeeeeee

    I only wetsand if there are pits. Even a few pits are OK but I have done lights that look like they were sandblasted. I will usually try the first step (Orange 4" pad and SIP) and i will know in 30 seconds if i need to sand.

    One thing to mention. When a lens is manufactured the outer layer of the lens is actually a UV film. Usually yellowed headlight are oxidization on the plastic and just a chemical polish will make them look like new. However they will yellow again and much quicker than they did when the UV layer was present. I use Klasse SG because it it the most durable product we sell but I maintain the lens after I restore them. I use Plexus Plastic Cleaner/Polish every other time I wash the vehicle.

    man!! those lights are beat to F#$% !!! Why are they so fogged out?? Ive never seen that before.
