Autosol

I found autosol dealer on the net and ordered one. Anybody tried this?.. oh! nica, how does autosol perform for you? any comments? anyone else has a comment on this?

I just purchased one to give it a try.. though there really isn't much crome or metal parts in my car. It's about $24 including the shipping.

This is just my opinion but I think it's a great metal polish, infact it's all I use. I've tried many other metal polish products but Autosol is it for me :thumb:

 

I love the stuff too! It's very abrasive in my opinon..

 

I find it dulls highly polished aluminum but does a good job cleaning up general aluminum where a mirror shine is not the goal.

 

thanks for the opinion guys. so basically autosol has abrasives on it?
does it scratch chrome or aluminum?
any other type of metal polish that really brings out a mirror like shine?

I just used Autosol on the chrome bumpers of a Suburban a few days ago and it came out literally like brand new. I was very impressed.

 

what do you guys use to apply autosol? i plan on using it on my exhaust pipes

 

$24 including shipping is a little much. It's actually cheaper from eBay.

Oh it's a sweet product, I've spent quite a bit of money trying to find a metal polish that would deliver and after going through so many metal polish I'm very happy with Autosol...that and I'm just about out of it and I love having back up :giggle:

i see a lot of people use 0000 steel wool. i usually note they use it on more tarnished or rusted pipes.

i use a microfiber if it's not tarnished or that dirty..just to revive its color.

 

Paper also works fine..

 

I guess i am very lucky, i can just take a 5 mins walk from my house to the nearest hardware shop and grap it for SGD $4.50.

 

Is this better or as good as Adam's metal polishes?

 

i found this site.. nice prices and they have Simichrome polish too.
