    Hey, guys.

I have a concours level detail coming up on a 1965 Shelby GT350. The paint is single stage, and it's in VERY good condition. It isn't going to take a lot of correcting, but I wanted to know what's the best combo when using a PC. I was thinking about Megs #80 with a 4" white LC pad, since it's probably only going to need to be one-stepped. Then I was going to top it off with P21S 100%.

    Thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions?

    All would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Casey, M80 is one of the best choices because of the "trade secret oils" for the SS paint. Personally, if the car is as nice as you say I would see how the 5.25" 3M pads we picked up work on it...... you can always switch to the white if needed. I'd say the P21 100% is a pretty good choice for the topper from what little I've seen of it. If you get more than one day then you might want to chill some QD and try your hand at spit shining that white SS paint. :gasp:

Hmm, sounds like a good plan Casey. I've never used #80 on a PC but I have used it by hand and am impressed by it.

Thanks, John. That's not a bad idea about the 5.25" pads we picked up.

Good to know, Denz. I think I'm definitely using the #80.

i used megs 80 and 83, used 83 on real bad faded areas, then 80 to finish, came up lovely :)

    Thanks, Ian.

I honestly don't think #83 will be needed, but I do have it on hand just in case.
