We started at 6am and finished at 4pm 5 in the crew and we were hustling to say the least. I had pretty much the same crew the first time we did something like this and I trained basically all of the guys with me or they have detailed with me before and know the products I use. It went so smooth we are having another one on Dec 2nd...10 cars have signed up we will try for 12. For the most part it went smoothly because most wanted a wash/clay/fmj. holy cow man.. tha's insane! Is FMJ- full molecular jacket from Menz? If so how do you compare it to Jetseal, or Wolfgang DGPS?
I have a sample of Jetseal from FMINUS but haven't tried it yet... Wolfgang haven't used either someone else can chime in but Menzerna FMJ is probably one of the easiest products to use. I can apply it in about 5-10 minutes with a PC and buff off just as quick.
all cars and SUV used FMJ but the M3, the M3 had a coat of the new P21S and the customer told me the beading wore off over time when it sat out in a rain storm, he would not use it again.
Damn Phil, I had not seen this thread yet but that is one impressive bunch of cars detailed! Looks almost like an illegal operation, ha! Was this some warehouse you rented?
Sweet work there man, what a day 10 cars with 5 guys impressive. You do that at your shop in Englewood Cliffs?
yup illegal JK...my friend who does clear film installs Nelson at Clear Image out in NJ has about 1000 sq ft he rents from a wholesale detailing joint, we got permission to use it on a Sunday hence I can get a crew together and charge about 1/2 what I typically charge. I passed on the savings to my customers. Each car too about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
:what: 45- to an hour per car, that is some job your crew must be very well trained by you. Would love to watch you guys work that must be a sight to see moving so quickly.
