IMO, it really is hard to beat the GS at Lowe's.

Yeah the GS's from Lowes are pretty cool. You can get them in pk's of 10 iirc!

I had two of the HD ones (which I like) but picked one of the Lowe's GS (less than $2) over the weekend. Also they have Stoner's trigger IG for under $4 a bottle. I will say the Lowe's GS looks like it would be a superior product.

I'll have to give the grout sponge from Lowes a shot as well I guess haha

To answer you, I've enjoyed using the sheepskin mitt from detailedimage.com and also Meguiar's m/f sponges

They're less than $2 at Loews. They're called Proline and the HD ones are QXP or something like that.

Grout sponge for the win. Until recently is when I began appreciating it more since it has now softened up a lot compared to when it was new. I still hate how you can't really get into crevices with it without putting a lot of pressure.

....so no one is getting swirls from them on a post correction wash?

for cost effective purposes they cant be beat as long as they dont swirl.

Rubbing new objects on paint scares me.

The GS by Proline from Lowes is the only media I have used that has not induced any swirls on my car.

I have just used the Proline Grout Sponge the first time last weekend with ONR. It was a pleasure to use and vry cost effective.

That one is not it, not as soft. The one by Proline is with the house cleaning supplies (mops, brooms, etc) and next to auto cleaning cleaning supplies. What I love about this sponge is that it is super soft, has large pores that absorb the dirt, rinses 100% clean every time, hods tons and spreads tons of suds. It does not give you the nice tactile feel of a wool mitt, which makes some people a bit nervous, but don't let that fool you, it does not marr at all. I also use it for ONR and it is amazing.

You can always do the CD test to prove to yourself if it swirls or not.

Yeah commonly used with microfibers to see if they'll scratch. The theory being if it's abrasive enough to scratch the cd media than it will scratch your paint.
