a friend's car went into the body shop a couple weeks ago and I was helping him clay the car today and noticed the rear bumper had a really rough texture. You could hear and feel how rough it was when sliding your hand over the area but by looking at it you couldn't tell. I suspect it was due to overspray. I'm thinking of wet sanding with 2000grit, Menz SIP, and finish with nano. thoughts? ideas? Thanks in advance
I agree with Piet, try claying before going that aggressive with wet sanding. I just recently had some nice yellow paint overspray on my truck thanks to the DOT and riccardo clay took it off with no problem.
yes. i think claying would work if the overspray hasnt had time to properly cure but its been on the bumper for a fwe weeks.
