So another friend well he is from my other forum NISSAN 240sx forums and he bought a ORIGIN fiberglass aero kit from Japan and got the car painted 2x base and 2x clear.. He wants me to detail it for a car show coming up and im not really sure how to approach this especially with new paint and fiberglass.. Im afraid of cracking it... what are your suggestions and best product that could deliver the car show finish... here is the link:

You'll have to be careful with the new paint..it'll need to outgas. Danase wet glaze may do the job here.

I assume you are not colorsanding it and cutting it back? What does it need, being new paint and all?

Only thing I can suggest at this point is don't use heat on the body kit. If you normally use a rotary on the paint, use a PC on the 'glass.

A week is not enough time for it to cure unless it was baked (doesn't look like it). For now I'd just glaze it, skip the wax and sealant until the paint is completely cured.

Are you worried about it being fiberglass?

yes . being fiberglass... im afraid to crack or burn the paint too quick.. or would it be same consistency with any bumpers...

Fiberglass isn't as bad as you think it is. I would just use the PC on those bumpers if I were you. They do give in a little. Good luck!

it should be the same as any other car, those kits have come a long way and are pretty flexible. just hope they sanded all that orange peal from the pics. paint with metal or candy flake look horrible with orange peel. they also tend to look very flat and have no depth if the flake was added in the clear. if it was added to the paint, it will look incredible. and i would make sure it has cured well, a week might not be long enough, unless it was put under some lights right after paint.

ok so i might just polish the whole car and put a layer of glaze on it to pop.. i have 3M glaze and menzerna glaze and EZ creme CG to choose..
