I was just getting the Focus detailed ready to sell when I received a call to ask if I would sort a Focus out that was in need of some attention. At that point I should of known to say no but of course I said "yea no probs, bring it over"!!! This is what I was greeted with!!!!

A before and after like no other!!!

It turns out both cars were ordered by the dealer at the same time and were only registered several days apart small world eh?! The car has never been really looked after only getting a lance wash form the local filling station when the owner had time and inside had never been touched but that's another story. The car was covered in bonded contaminants fall-out moss slime and goodness knows what else (I'm scared to ask)

    Stage1.

I power hosed the car and spayed CG citrus degreaser and left to dwell for 5 mins. rinsed. I then applied snow foam and washed with a grout sponge and stiff brush on all trim and rubbers to remove what I could!

Then I used Elite (Belfast) tar remover to get rid of what I can only describe as enough tar to do a driveway.

Final step was to clay with megs gray clay and Last touch as lubricant!

At this point I decided to open the bonnet and see what delights were here and this is what growled back at me.

It was sprayed with degreaser and hosed then Megs APC and a scrubber until all the dirt was gone!!!

The exhaust back box and pipe was also shined using Autosol and wire wool

    Stage 2.
Good job I have plenty of help!!!

The car was then re snow foamed and washed with the 2 bucket method using Megs Gold Class and my new noodle mitt! wheels and door shuts were also given a good going over as well!

After this stage the paint was still very dull with no metal flake showing even in the bright sun so I used 3M Machine Polish (light blue lid) and a 3M compounding pad well 6 in fact!!! I find this works well for this type of paint and leaves an excellent surface for the LSP to be applied after!

    Stage 3.

I used as my LSP Dodo double. To be honest I as not sure about getting it, but now I have used it several times I am hooked :thumb: I have applied 1 coat of hard wax and one coat of soft wax.

The wheels and all doorshuts, the underside of the bonnet all recieved 2 coats of CG wet mirrir finish!

The owner is leaving the car over in a week to have another 2 coats of soft applied to to pit up so here are the afters! Thanks for reading. TOTAL DETAILING TIME 8 HOURS

    Ronnie.

    After the Hard Wax Applied.
