Is 95 a new product also? or just a new bottle

It came out at the same time as 105 but there are differences. This is something Mike Phillips posted on the old MOL forum:

    Setec Astronomy:
Could we get an explanation as to the difference between this and the new M95 Compound, since both of these seem to be rated 12 "Extra Heavy Cut"? Are these rotary-only compounds? Are they effective or formulated for ceramic clearcoats? What are the recommended polishes to follow these with?

    Hi Mike,

We're going to ask Jason Rose for the specifics on the differences between these two products, we had a hallway meeting where we asked him this same question and if memory serves me correctly, they both have the same abrading ability, but the M105 offers a lot more in final polishing ability. What this means is after finishing with the M105, the car looks like it's been glazed the paint is so clear and glossy. Not bad for an aggressive compound. We've personally only used this one time and that was to remove sanding marks last week after wet-sanding the hood on the Joker. It is by far the best compound we've ever used as far as cutting ability, play time, working characteristics, wipe-off and end results.

This new compound is going to be a real big hit in the body shop industry as there's nothing like it. Period.

I love M105. Is there an easy way of removing the gummed up/dried up residue?

spritz with a qd....and its also a sign to clean or change your foam or wool pad...and that you are using too much

Do you have to use wool pad for M105? can you use lc orange foam pad instead?

you can really use any pad....i even tried out just a finishing pad just to see how much cut the product has on its own...it was quite impressive...worked a lot like SIP....it does tend to gum up and grab easier with foam if you use too much

Got to use it this past weekend and Meg's hit a home run with this product. 95 has less cut and finish up with PO85U which to me is like butter. Great product!

i have never used the meg pads...i hear they foam itself is as good as any other foam...only negative thing i have heard is that the velcro delaminates very easily...not sure if they fixed the issue but just something that i have heard about them...

We started late and did some wetsanding on the hood and use 2 rotaries with wool and then form pads. Great product that Meg's got there. I think every detailer should have this one in their arsenal. Erick hopefully by next weekend should be going over to Brian's place and finish up on that hood, it's going to look awesome!
