Another little addition to my detailing line up: Not the complete Meguiars Solo line up, but enough of it for me to get testing! Much of my winter testing this year has been focussed on wool mop polishing with the rotary as a solution for very heavy (some may say brutal!) cutting applications... Recently released is the Meguiars solo system (well, not all that recent, but compared to the rest of the Mirror Glaze line up ) with a pair of wool pads - light and heavy cutting so I can begin to assess different wools and polish performances on them with a view to introducing them to my detailing over 2008. The Solo Cream appears to be based on the idea of MarkV Mystique (a product I make no secret about being a fan of!) - use it on wool for aggressive cut, use it on finishing foam for finessing your finish and if necessary then follow it with a burnishing polish to enhance the finish a little further. So it will be interesting to see how it compares with one of my recent "pet products". Watch this space
I have just got it today, so I've not yet tried it out... will let you know as soon as I have though The idea is very similar to System One, and that of markV Mystique - a single liquid and you change the pad depending on what you are aiming to do. System One and MarkV seem to work and fulfill the concept, so hopefully the Megs Solo will too
I am interested in hearing your thoughts on it. It seems to finish a bit better than M105, but lacks the same kind of cut. For some reason it seems to also work pretty good on dry paint as well..
