Today after cleaning my wife's cars wheels with our trusty Sonax wheel cleaner we decided to do a comparison between the Sonax and our past favourite wheel cleaner, Meg's Hot Rims.

Right side wheel to be cleaned with Sonax

Left side wheel to be cleaned with Megs

Sonax wheel cleaner applied and left to work for a few mins

And to compare one last time...

As you can see the Sonax did a far better job of removing the brake dust than the Meg's did. Again no brushes were used, this was simply a test to see which product applied and rinsed with a pressure washer would lift the most dirt. Also worth noting is the etching the Meg's left on the exposed metal of the brake disks, the Sonax left no such marks as it is a ph neutral product :woot:

When used with brushes the Sonax is still by far superior to the Meg's and effortlessly lifts the brake dust with minimal scrubbing and working :woo:

Quick update for those who were unsure about the content's, ph, ect........ I obtained the MSDS for the wheel cleaner and it states the tested ph as 7-7.5.

As you can see from the table below, a ph of 7-7.5 means it is in between fresh water (7) and salt water (8) and roughly the same as blood.

The MSDS is available from here

    Hope that helps :mounty:
