I had a quick question about my wife's new car. She just bought a 2017 Lexus NX200t F-Sport with the red interior. I was told the fsport came with real leather, treated of course, and was looking for the best way to protect it. Hopefully this is true about the leather, and if so, would something like the cquartz leather sealant be good for it? Is there a better option?
    Thank you all in advance.

I'm still not convinced that leather coatings work better than regular cleaning/conditioning. I remember reading somewhere that some leather coatings have shown to turn yellowish after several months of being applied. IMO, doing a good reconditioning twice (maybe 3 times a year) is a better option. Leather Masters and Sonax leather products have worked well for me. ONR works well for minor soiling.

^^ Agreed. I prefer cleaning twice a year, using LM.

Todays modern leather is more like vinyl. It should be cleaned and cared for as you would your vinyl, with water based products. Optimum, Kenotek, Leather Master are my go to products for leather and vinyl cleaning and protection.

A leather coating has never gone "yellow" on me but then again I have only used Optimum and Nanolex.

The Kenotek is a nice product for "maintaining" as it has a cleaner additive to it. I turn to Leather Master for deeper needs and Optimum for my all around interior dressing. Water based, so water is the carrier that evaporates leaving behind a natural matte finish, UV protection with a polymer.
