Hey guys just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Hydr02. Sound like a really cool product and I'm curious what the durability is like and if the application process is as easy as spray and then rinse. Thanks in advance!
Hydro2 is an awesome product. I put it on my truck in early August. Its a daily driver and it says outside 24/7. Product is still beading. I wash my truck, leave it wet, spray on Hydro2 and then spray it off and then dry it. Crazy easy product. You'll be shaking your head when your done.
Like Cooter stated ... super easy to use, great gloss and slickness, and it last a while. I have seen 4 solid months on a dd parked outside. It's a money maker if you do wash and wax jobs, but it also great for enthusiasts because you can wax your car every time you wash it and it also helps with the drying process too. I use my leaf blower after a hydro2 application and it takes me less than 5 minutes to dry my entire vehicle. Amazing product!
Just picked some up from Car Pro's site and got 500ml for $42! Thought it was a decent deal considering what Autogeek sells it for. Im looking forward to using it
I've been using it too for the winter. Makes it alot easier to get the salt and grime of the car..I just hosed makes it down and noticed a big difference.. Makes it easy to wash..
Okay so I ordered the 1 liter container of this and it just arrived at my house. The very strange/bothersome thing about it is that there is a label stating the date of production and the expiration date and guess what the expiration date is today... Do I bother opening it or just send it back as it is already a year old. I am very disappointed I was looking forward to this. Like I needed more reason to stick solely with Phil and his great service.
Where did you order the 1L from? I'm not sure I would order CarPro products from anyone other than Corey at carprousa.com
I used it last week since the temps got above 40 here, and I could finally wash my car. As soon as I started spraying the car off, I noticed the beading. Everything looked great until after I dried the car. There were streaks (only noticeable when dry). Did I not rinse enough? I was at a commercial touchless wash, so of course I forgot the QD at home. Any advise?
Yea I have since figured this out through some correspondence with Corey himself he seems like a great guy. I ordered from that big site that begins with an a because they had a special on it and I had bought a gift card to them that was 20 off of 100. And I got the 1l for 76.50 before that gift card was even used but I think I would have rather paid full price than have this headache. Corey seems like a great guy just like Phil they both seem to take pride in their work. I think that will be my last order with the big a.
I ordered some CarPro stuff directly from the website recentely and it got shipped out promptly. I got some incredimitts, some carpro perl and a sample of reload, enjoying it all
How did you apply H2? (Per Panel -or- to the entire vehicle) If you get streaking with H2 then you didn't spray it off fast enough. When using H2 I spray it on a damp panel and then immediately blast with water. There is no need for wait time. If you still get streaking try diluting it down even more like 4:1 or 5:1. The durability will not be quite as good but it still works great. If you get this streaking the only way I have heard to remove the streaking is to do a light polish.
I was at a touchless wash, so I was trying to save time/money- So I was doing two panels at a time or so. I will try a damp sponge and spraying off immediately next go-round. It still beads very well, and the only noticeable streaks are on the hood. Thanks!
I know this is a bit off topic and Phil you can move it if you like but how do you like the incredimitt zerix? Seems interesting although I already have two like new uber mitts that I don't have much of a problem with except for maybe rinse less which I bought some towels to switch to.
I love it, I got 2 of them, I've done 2 rinseless washes and 1 traditional wash with them and they seem great. They work perfect with a grit guard, all the little fibers rub against the GG perfectly.
