Been quite some time since I have posted.... Wanted to bring to you all a project close to my heart as I am a Porsche nut and this one is a rare beauty. A 1988 Porsche 911 with 8K original miles on the clock and such a beautiful example of the air cooled era. Needless to say I was excited for this passion project to commence. Let us begin....

As you can see.... the wells areas needed help. If you have not worked on one of these.... let me tell you, it is not just a quick clean and rinse by any means. MANY hours were poured into the underside of this vehicle.

took a break from the wells and started working the underside of the motor and such
    [IMG]

all the oil and cosmoline and year after year of built up crust was..... quite the process to remove

making progress at this point. I've lost count of the amounts of caffeine consumed already

Outstanding work Paul. Love the attention to detail to every part of this vehicle. Cosmoline is a PITA to remove.

Very well done. Ever thought of investing in a dry-ice blaster for work like that?
