Recently completed job done with the help of Richie from Paint Protection of Orlando, this client was referred to me from a Coating job I did for a Tesla owner who came to see that vehicle when the client picked it up upon completion and wanted his Diablo to be detailed then wrapped entirely of clearfilm. First order of business was a QD wipedown and decon(Client requested the car not be washed) although the wheels were conventionally cleaned, after this was the removal of the hurting 3M clearfilm dryness on the car for a VERY long time. After the film was removed, correction was started and the scratched up Carbon Fiber wing was where those tasks began. Taking readings for safety. Richie handled the correction of the wing. The color of the paint hid defects well, here is the engine cover with marring evident. More pics of the wing. For anyone detailing a Gallardo or a Diablo, correcting this part of the engine cover knows it is labor intensive. Richie "cherry picking" the easier parts of the car. As the wing was mounted, getting to this support stalks was a "Houston we have a problem" situation. Elbow grease machine was deployed. After MANY passes, correction achieved. Large radius rear taillights removed for polishing, * NOTE * this taillight would cover my whole hand........not so in Richie's Rawlings Catcher's Mitt sized hands. Client informed later when he picked up the car the wheels were freshly painted................. the horror of the damage evident tells of careless mounting procedures. Getting better........ These wheels would take a WHOLE day to fix. Rupes LHR75 fit under the wing nicely. 50/50 on the sill Carbon Fiber. Sill now "With the clarity". Final stages on the exterior, Diablo 6.0 sharing the shop with a 98 993 Carrera S in for Film. Ready for the road!!!!.
Another stellar job you two! Blows me away that one can bring LAMBORGHINI wheels to a tire shop and they do damage like that!!! mg:
