Using Megs MF buff kit: After I finish cutting the paint, do I need to rewash the car before moving to "Finishing Wax". Or would just a QD wipe or IPA wipe be ok?

You need to some kind of wipe down with IPA or a product like Top Inspection to get rid of the polish residue.

Depends on what kind of a mess you make...

If you get polishing dust everywhere and into the crevices and in between panels, then yes, you might have to wash the car.

If you are neater and dont make a mess of correcting, then do as Todd suggested above - wipe the car down with something that will leave you a nice, clean, residue free surface so that your last step of wax, sealer, polymer sealant, etc., has the best chance of adhering into the paint and assuring it will stick there for the longest time...

If you dont have a good IPA product, you can make your own with some rubbing alcohol and distilled water, or just clean tap water, and spray and wipe ...
