I would like to thank fellow DB member Tweaked for referring this client to me. I was contacted by a client to see if I could solve his problem for car maintenance, he was looking for a low maintenance solution for his "new to him" M3 Sedan. I recommended the installation of Opti Coat Professional for his Jerez Black M3, after reading up on it he also decided it was the best route for him. Here are the before pictures: I'd have to do something about these swirls. At least I would have nice eye candy to look at while I was detailing During: I started by washing the wheels, wheel wells and rims Good for now, I'd later take the rims of the vehicle to give them a more thorough cleaning and full surface opti coat protection. Washing Claying, a normal amount of contaminants I then found out that Meg's MF pad with D300 and Green B&S pad with HD Polish was my best bet I then worked my way around the car In this picture I've polished up to the rear door and driver's door and on still remains A close up of the rocker panel Here is half the front fender done. Here I polished the swirls away from the headlights Here we can see some sanding marks After some rotary with car pro wool, they were severely diminished or gone. Before: After: The whole fender is done but the passenger's side door is not 50:50 (half and half) shot of trunk lid Before: Tail lights After: Tail lights 50:50 of bumper Here I am finishing rims and preping for opti coat All clean This is just a random shot of the testing sections to find out where I would get the best gloss. HD Polish won. Exhausts were also polished up ....and we're all done sorry I was using a new camera so the sun pictures turned out kind of weird
Excellent job Hamza! Like that you take off the wheels when applying opticoat professional. The owner must have been happy.
It took about 12 hours, I usually don't take this long but this time I said what the hey. It's the third vehicle for this customer. It's also supercharged.
