Client contacted me early this year for correction and Opti-Coat on his black 2012 Volkswagen GLI. We discussed the situation, and agreed to a 2 step correction with Opti-Guard protection to finish it off. Despite a few scheduling hurdles, eventually got him in the shop and got it done.

Car was pretty dirty to start off. Got going on the wheels.

While doing the wheels I usually address the gas cap area as well. OPC at 3:1 so any overspray is safe on the paint.

    All cleaned up

Then foamed the car down with a mix of CG citrus wash & gloss, dawn, & OPC. Followed by 2 bucket wash CG citrus wash clear

Made sure to clean up the tight areas in the grill

Car was decontaminated with CarPro Trix and Clay Magic blue.

Dried everything and taped all the trim to protect during the polishing process

Finally a good look at the paint. Not pretty. Swirls, water marks, etching from bird bombs. The usual stuff...

    Thanks for the comments guys!

Been using Brown Royal for a couple years and very happy with it. However, may make the switch to the new meguiars non acid wheel cleaner. Been trying it out and it seems very similar to BR for a little cheaper and easier to find
