Buying used power washers

So my current power washer is pretty weak in PSI and GPM. It mists more that it sprays out water. It is also on its last legs as I hear the pump strain when I run it for long periods.

I was browsing Craigslist and came upon a used Karcher power washer for $85. The seller said it was a K3.99 and that it worked like new. Has anybody had experience using this specific one?

Quick Googling shows that it is usually found in the UK. 1600PSI and 1.6 GPM which seems to be average. However, it shows that it was sold back in 2009. Is this too old for a powerwasher?

 

For the low cost of a new pressure washer, I wouldn't bother taking the chance on a used one.

 

You can buy new for not much more with a warranty.

 

just spend 157 dollars for a new Karcher hose. ugh
