So it's been a while since I've done a write up and felt it was time I got back at it... 2013 Subaru BRZ in for paint correction and Opti-Coat Pro application. Owner lives just over 2hrs away so no pre-inspection was possible on this one and we just scheduled it for a 1-step correction and coating. The time frame on this one was also a little tighter than I'm used to as I normally start on my cars Friday night, getting them all washed and prepped. Then Saturday I come in and I will polish and coat the vehicle and leave it inside overnight to cure. With this job the client couldn't leave until Saturday morning because of work, and it was about 10:35 Saturday morning when he pulled up. After pulling the car in and inspecting the paint I could see the sides were pretty swirled up from "slap n' scratch" washes, likely done at the dealership since the owner never brought it through one. The tops were in pretty good shape though so I knew a 1-step would be fine there, but the sides I wasn't so sure on. The owners ride to the hotel arrived shortly after and I just told him I'd contact him if there were issues. After doing a few test spots I decided to just 2-step the lower sides panels as there were far to many deeper defects left behind from the 1-step combo. LED Brinkmann 50/50 Touching up wheel wells Inner barrels cleaned and coated
Finished Brinkmann LED Sun was really trying to pop out from behind the clouds, but unfortunately it didn't happen until after the owner picked up the car. As always, thank you for taking the time to view my work. Rasky
Great work and pics Chad, straight from the camera onto the forum........................................
Thanks Bob! Full disclosure though: I do shoot in RAW so that I have the ability save an otherwise wasted shot. I'll only adjust exposure, fill light and WB in Lightroom to make it a correct exposure, but 99% of the time it's just a bump down in exposure. I just picked up a new camera & lens and for some reason it tends to really overexpose my shots in the garage and the LCD display also seems to not be a very accurate representation either. I do try to compensate exposure on the camera prior to shooting, but they don't always come out correctly. If anyone ever questions one of my pictures i will happily send them the RAW file as I have nothing to hide. :thumb: DIR!
heh, i know where this stems from... doing it right...:thumb: do laundry, son! hamper basket is full...: great work.
It's nice to see so many of these getting the proper treatment right off the lot (hopefully). My buddy is trading his 2nd gen xB in for one tonight, so I'll have to convince him to let me work on it! Also nice seeing all of these because it'll take out a bit of guess work for me!
