Anyone willing to try this and report back
The "idea" steps above that guy who was "blading" overspray........... Love how he smears the "bug" residue, dirt and grime all over the area......... silly Ill stick with more traditional methods.
I can say, with experience, dryer sheets will effectively remove bug and insect residue without any serious work. However, after doing more research, I discovered that the sheet will strip any LSP's and can mar the paint.
If you have a doubt...................just turn up the volume on the video and listen............................the sound of paint being marred. CG bugger and tar remover after a pre-soak with a grout sponge, removal without the penalty of of marred paint. Use gloves with the CG gear or you will have snake shedding hands.
Take several thin microfiber towels and soak them in your wash solution (regular shampoo or rinseless). Place them over the bugs for 5-10 minutes (I take this time to do the wheels). If needed I tie the around the rear view mirrors too. This "soaking" will allow them to be removed easily. The plush MF towels are too heavy when wet to use for this.
I get Bug Off by Majestic Solutions, mix 4:1 and spray - let dwell for a few minutes, but not dry on the paint, then wash off with a soft bug sponge. All but the worst bugs that have been on the car a while will come off.
Here is a genius tip, just wax or seal your paint regularly. The bugs come right off in a normal wash. Use a detail spray in between.
^^^^ Winner winner. Keep your car maintained, sealant, wax or what have you current this is not an issue.
